Saw Walle and was really amazed.  As a filmmaker I would be happy to get just 20% of what Walle achieved.

To top it off Peter Gaberiel sings the end credits:

As for myself, we are halfway to completion on the script.  Shooting is set to begin this coming summer.  I am planning a fantasy/action adventure.  Working on CGI models right now.

Heres a sample of something I did a few months ago:

A sort of tribute to ELO and Star Wars.... :)

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary from your hotlist?

(The diary will be removed.)
Are you sure you want to save these changes to the published diary?

  •  Yes, I just saw it last night and was amazed too (6+ / 0-)

... Beautiful story, incredible characters, even a post-apocalyptic warning about the dangers of where our consumer culture is headed, all with hardly any dialogue but lots of heart.

Who would have thought the summer's most romantic and yet socially responsible movie could be an animated SF tale about two robots on a ruined Earth? Bruce Dern, Douglas Trumbull and the "Silent Running" crew must be proud of their legacy.

Sorry, after "WALL-E" I don't even want to see the latest Angelina Jolie splatterfest.

    •  Wanted was actually pretty good (1+ / 0-)

I normally don't care for the violence genre, but enjoyed this movie.

      •  Not Wanted (0+ / 0-)

Saw it at a free preview.  Thank God that I didn't pay any money for it.

What a mean-spirited, violent piece of crap.  Some interesting visuals but the story is nothing, just adolescent fantasy wish fulfillment power tripping violence and the last words addressed to the audience are an insult to those who had the patience to sit through this thing.  The actors performed well but the script and concept were crap from the git-go.  Blech.

And Angelina Jolie needs to eat some food.

    I loved this was profound.

I kept thinking about Dan Simmon's books "Ilium" and "Olympos" - 2 central characters are robots named Mahmut and Orphu who are impassioned by Shakespeare and Proust, and who are more human than their creators! Well, their creators were "post-humans" but what they created was beautiful and the embodiment of the good in humanity, much like Wall-e is...

Good luck Dragon82a on your projects! I enjoyed the video too!

  •  Liked your video. Best of luck on (0+ / 0-)

your project. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Oh and going to see Wall-E tomorrow night. Can't wait.
