Showing that he does indeed understand the awesome power of the internet, Senator McCain has invited his fervent online supporters to create their very own McCain campaign posters.
Here's what they came up with:
Good stuff, McCain supporters, excellent effort. I especially appreciate the way Hayley from SC used the latest imaging technology to make McCain look even older and squarer than he actually is. No easy feat.
These McCain supporters have it tough. In the absence of a compelling message coming from the campaign, some contributors had to play off Obama's message while others borrowed from that great conservative political strategist, George Orwell.
In the spirit of fair play, I think the progressive netroots should help McCain in his effort to understand the wonderful world of Web 2.0. Here are a few new posters that I think capture the ethos of his campaign. You can vote for your favorite in the poll below.
