As I sit here in Iraq on the 9th month of a 15 month tour, my frustration seems to grow more and more each day. I feel as though I have an interesting seat for these elections as I am somewhat on the outside looking in. Comparing John McCain to Barack Obama is like comparing a GED to a Masters Degree.

McCain is so out of it that it does't make sense to me that so many people are still supporting this guy...

Are they idiots and who are they anyways?

I am sorry. I am tired of being nice. This is not "tidily winks!"  This is no game! This is an election for not only the President of the United States but this is also a decider in the future make up of the Supreme Court. This is a significant choice in the future of our children who will inherit from the decision that we make this time around. So I am tired of being nice and I am going to call it all what it really is because I am tired of sacrificing, fighting, volunteering and what do I get in return..... Some slimy old politician lying to the American people and judging from the last TWO presidential elections we get a phony result.

I am tired of being nice so I am going to say it and I don’t care who gets upset! Anyone who votes for John McCain is one of two things. Either that person is a complete IDIOT or that person simply doesn’t have this country’s or society’s best interest at heart. Any semi-intelligent person can sit for a few minutes and distinguish between truth and the lies that John McCain and the GOP have to offer. Any semi-rational person can take a second and understand that not only does John McCain not possess the intellectual capacity to function well as the next president but he is also morally bankrupt.

He is a man who seriously believes that the answer to the energy crisis is to attempt to discontinue our dependence on oil by drilling for more oil. That just doesn’t make any sense at all.

He says he hates war but wants to stay in Iraq for 100 years all while he is threatening Iran with another war.

He is a War Veteran who opposes bettering educational benefits for Active Duty soldiers because he says that it is too generous. Not only has he opposed these benefits recently but he has done it on numerous occasions before.

He is a man who voted on numerous occasions against investigations into the debacle after Hurricane Katrina.

He is a man who voted against a national holiday honoring Martin Luther King J.R. while honoring the confederate flag that flew over South Carolina.

He is a man who constantly forgets very, very important national security points as witnessed during his previous trip to the Middle East in which Joe Liebermann had to correct him on national television and many other times after that.

He is a man who voted against measures that would make it easier for women to get paid on an equal basis as men for the same work. What!!!????

He is a man who said on national television that we need to give a bottle of hot water to a dehydrated baby?!!! What!! People are supporting this idiot?!!!!

Come on now!!!! We as a society cannot possibly be this shallow. It’s impossible....isn’t it!!??
Anyone who votes for this man is plain old stupid. Are we as a society this blind? Are we?!! Have we not learned anything from the last 7 years with possibly or better yet probably the dumbest president ever in George Bush? Have we learned anything?
What is wrong with us when we do not hold the media or our elected officials accountable?

Are you an idiot??!!!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
