I'm posting this diary in the hopes that some of you will be better able to grab some information from the push polls that I suspect will be making their way to you within the next few days.
I really should've been on my guard, and a little better prepared. Most of the questions actually seemed innocuous, and it wasn't until about five or six minutes in, that I even realized how slanted they actually were.
A few that I remember...
Do you feel that we have an obligation to make Iraq safe and secure, or do you feel that the consequences of withdrawal don't matter?
On a scale of 1 to 100 how concerned are you that the welfare rolls include a significant number of able-bodied workers?
On a scale of 1 to 100 how concerned are you about affirmative action programs that are based on quotas rather than qualifications?
I suspect that if I had even faked a modicum of interest in their obvious lines of questioning, the questions would've delved ever deeper and deeper, until I was asked, "On a scale of 1 to 100, how concerned are you about Barack Hussein Obama's Muslim heritage, and unsubstantiated IV drug use?" My ocassional chuckles, and comments concerning 'loaded questions' obviously didn't help the matter.
What I did manage to get out of the pollster (who spoke with a very proper British accent) was that she worked for Target Point Consulting. You may remember their work during the Republican primary, in which they were suspected of being hired by the Romney campaign, to attack his religion, and earn him some sympathy votes.
So be on the lookout, and be prepared. Target Point Consulting may be calling you next, and I'd love to dig up even MORE dirt on who they're working for this time around.
