Boy was I Surprised to find my re-posted, slightly updated, diary, from yesterday, on the rescue list, I'll get to that in a minute.
There is reportedly some 43 million voters who are Veterans of our Military, active duty Members of our Military, as well as direct Family Members of both of those groups. Anyone who wants to keep cruntching numbers could keep a fairly close number of all three groups, births, deaths, enlistments etc., a huge task but a rough estimate could be had. The PLUS comes from the fact of not only the Extended Families of but also includes the Friends, Neighbors, Communities and how much they take into consideration Military Service especially when in occupation of two countries, or any dedicated service, to Country. The figures for that can't be put into a raw number, a close figure, or a percentage, they are Unknown.
The one on the rescue list and the one previous, which was similar, and another, covered the same subject and a few of those replying showed me what direction, not only the site but the Democratic Party faithful are taking, the same they always do and the same most of their hired representatives in congress have taken since gaining their slim control, backward with fear of not getting (D)'s elected, for that's the only thing that matters, even to the (R)'s, Screw Country, Constitution, and Country/World we leave to the coming Generations, like in our Business Climate it's All About The Now!
That digression is what is causing the very noticeable problems right now and leading to the rapid collapse of what could have been! And the lead for almost All of the current problems is the Occupations that Never should have occurred yet alone been Maintained for So Long! We're not only loosing everything this country is supposed to represent and that had been built up, despite the failed foreign policies all along, the few are making sure there are more than enough Hatreds and Enemies created to last for decades so those few coming can claim they are Strong as the rest Cower!
To me, and many many................. others, it's more than a puzzle the why Barack Obama wasn't the first to Accept the Invitation to this Forum of a Town Hall, comprised of Military Families, Active Military Personnel presently serving in Two very dangerous theaters of operations, Veterans of previous service and Conflicts, and Groups who extend Care to those maimed, physically and mentally, in this Countries Wars, most being Wars of Choice, chosen at first by the majority, on the words of the few. Especially as Barack has a number of very well known, and not so well known, ex and retired Military personal supporting him with many at his side and giving him advice.
I was quickly not only growing my support of Barack but also getting caught up in the positive energy this man is bringing to a country that is and has been stumbling about with not much positive happening nor on the horizon. As to Veteran and Military concerns I really liked his voting record in Congress and what he has said while running for CiC, I Really Believed He Got The Picture. Now I'm not so sure, and I'm not the only one! Been around a long time, heard to many words, and well understand this game of politics, is he just another player, only he can show he isn't!
Let me remind you, there was somewhere above 70% of this Nation that were being reported as In Support of the Invasion of a Country that did Nothing To Us to deserve the coming Destruction and Deaths, while many of us well before that invasion were saying what would happen. Roughly that same percentage Quickly lost interest in the Original reason for invading another country, in same region, and the occupation of, and untill very recently probably hadn't thought much about that one and will quickly forget again, unless what many of us feel is coming keeps it somewhere in the rhetoric of the All Important (D)'s and (R)'s minds.
In yesterday's post I added a number of replys of recent reports which were intended to become a part of the post giving reason to why he should attend and the democratic party shouldn't fear.
Let me add a few right here instead of in the replys, which showed at least one empty head didn't get those:
"It's gonna be a bloodbath,"

Sgt. Jacob Walker and Spc. Tyler Stafford talk about the attack
Soldiers recount deadly attack on Afghanistan outpost
Everything was on fire. The trucks. The bazaar. The grass.
It looked surreal. It looked like a movie.
That was July 13. That was when Stafford was blown out of a fighting position by an RPG, survived a grenade blast and had the tail of an RPG strike his helmet.
That was the day nine Chosen Company soldiers died.
It was just days before the unit was scheduled to leave the base.
"It was some of the bravest stuff I’ve ever seen in my life, and I will never see it again because those guys," Stafford said, then paused. "Normal humans wouldn’t do that. You’re not supposed to do that — getting up and firing back when everything around you is popping and whizzing and trees, branches coming down and sandbags exploding and RPGs coming in over your head ... It was a fistfight then, and those guys held ’ em off."
Stafford offered a guess as to why his fellow soldiers fought so hard.
"Just hardcoreness I guess," he said. "Just guys kicking ass, basically. Just making sure that we look scary enough that you don’t want to come in and try to get us."

"It's gonna be a bloodbath," fallen soldier told father
Cpl. Gunnar Zwilling suspected that his days were numbered last week, while he and his band of brothers in the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team prepared for a mission near Wanat, Afghanistan.
Cpl. Gunnar Zwilling had a bad feeling about his final mission in Afghanistan, said his father, Kurt.
"It's gonna be a bloodbath," he told his father, Kurt Zwilling, on the phone in what would be their last conversation.
The Defense Department on Wednesday identified the U.S. soldiers killed Sunday when their outpost was overrun in Afghanistan.

• Sgt. Israel Garcia, 24, of Long Beach, California.
• Cpl. Jonathan R. Ayers, 24, of Snellville, Georgia.

There's nothing I really can add to the above, nor do I feel I should.
The interviews at the links and the video, by the soldiers, are the reality.

Military looking at intelligence before deadly Afghan clash
A formal investigation into an attack on a U.S. Army unit by about 200 Taliban insurgents will examine whether the Army had intelligence about a possible assault and whether the troops had access to it.
This one from today:
Misunderstanding leaves 9 dead in Afghan airstrike
A misunderstanding between local police and coalition forces led to an airstrike in southwestern Afghanistan Sunday that left nine police officers dead, a defense ministry official said.
I leave it up to your own thoughts to see the picture of what is and has been going on and what may be coming!
As wars lengthen, toll on military families mounts
(FORT CAMPBELL, Ky.) Far from the combat zones, the strains and separations of no-end-in-sight wars are taking an ever-growing toll on military families despite the armed services' earnest efforts to help.
Divorce lawyers see it in the breakup of youthful marriages as long, multiple deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan fuel alienation and mistrust. Domestic violence experts see it in the scuffles that often precede a soldier's departure or sour a briefly joyous homecoming.
Teresa Moss, a counselor at Fort Campbell's Lincoln Elementary School, hears it in the voices of deployed soldiers' children as they meet in groups to share accounts of nightmares, bedwetting and heartache.
"They listen to each other. They hear that they aren't the only ones not able to sleep, having their teachers yell at them," Moss said.
That report should be read and the thoughts about the implications not only to the Military Families but the Communities these soldiers and families will move to after their service, the positive values, and the darkside some may bring to themselves and possibly to those communities adding to the already unknown communities already face!
The military families, groups sponsoring this event, many of us veterans, see not only the importance of this, as to those serving in these times, but also as to the country and what/where we are heading.
And once again the Country, and it's Political Parties, are apathetic, exactly like in the wake of 'Nam, to face the direction set headon!
Does Obama need to attend, No, but that no brings a message with it, this lame excuse of a schedule conflict is just that, a lame excuse.
Is the Democratic party willing to take a chance that Millions of Voters will just vote regional, as to representation on the federal level, and leave the Presidential Box Empty, because right now I can see that happening, I can also see many not voting even for many of those presently in Congress on the Democratic ticket for Not Upholding the Constitution and seeking Accountability!
Again, What % Of 43mil.PLUS Voters Are An Exceptable Loss?, and can those unknown numbers be replaced and thought of as expendable for the sake of party (D).
You can visit the other diaries, linked above, if interested. From the response in those I doubt many will be. But for the few who might there are links and contact information.
Stop, I repeat, Stop, listening to what others are saying McCains strength is supposed to be, especially as to the Military and Vets, it isn't, he's shown that in Empty Words and Actions!
Let me add. I don't give a crap what those who still use (R) after their names do, the ones who finally, after being totally silent, realized that ideology is gone, have left. Those who haven't never knew what the ideology was in the first place and are the easy to lead around like the cult members they've become, and you can add conservative to that as well.
Should I, and many others, do the same for the (D)'s, are they as stated just above the same, an empty letter?
Should I just stop worrying about the Country and World we're leaving?
