Can I say BREAKING?  No, but I did a Google search and got the answer.  Just type in "bob novak" gossip, fox, vp.  There it is....  Well, you have to read between the lines.

"When Fox and Friends asked if he had his famous shorts on, he demurred...
Bob Novak: I may have been suckered by the McCain camp on the VP rumors. It’s possible that the Romney rumors were just a trial balloon that the McCain camp floated out to test the waters. In which case, let’s hope he’s got a Palin up his sleeve."

Answer after the break...

This is what I got:

What?  Bob Novak? Condoleezza Rice? fox? Harry Smith? State Department?  The D.C. Gossip is proudly powered by Plamegate.

Man recovering after car accident with Bob Novak.

The ever insightful Robert Novak is... Mr. Novak strikes me as more of a gossip than a serious reporter/commentator...

The radio station WMAL caught up with the man Bob Novak hit yesterday morning, Don Clifford...

Conservative columnist & FOX News contributor Robert Novak says many...

On topic: Novak is a gossip monger, see “Valerie Plame”...

He was on Fox today giving his opinions on all sorts of things.  This sounds like the kind of gossip you expect from old ladies at the...

So, the answer is...

Overheard in a DC bar....  "Caroline Kennedy is venomous about the possibility of having a Republican vice presidential candidate.  I’m not sure about a woman, either.  You know, Holder is strongly committed to choosing a veteran."

What was that???  I couldn't quite make that out.

Huh?  Did you say Veneman?  Republican?  Vice President?

It's cheap gossip and the game kids call "telephone".

Sorry, but I was owed a crappy diary eventually.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
