For years now here at dailykos, we've had disagreements that have spun into what are locally known as "Pie Fights"
They've been angry sometimes, unwarranted certainly, and have caused much strife and angst.
I try to steer clear of these Pie Fights, because I've learned that someone always gets hurt.
But after last night, I'm going to always wade into a Pie Fight...
And be warned: I'm coming armed.
Coventry Village in Cleveland Heights, Ohio is an odd, eclectic place, sort of the Haight-Asbury or Greenwich Village of Greater Cleveland.
So it wasn't surprising to learn that the proprietor of the local old toys and collectibles emporium, Steve Presser of Big Fun, was organizing a series of "movies under the stars" with a huge projection screen and popcorn vendors on the grounds of the playground at the end of the shopping district.
According to the promotional material, last night's lineup featured "A Night At The Opera" with the Marx Brothers, followed by the infamous Three Stooges Pie Fight short.

As the movie reached the climactic moment when the waiter trips and the cake goes flying, Steve callled out over the loudspeaker, "Ready? Go!" and chaos ensued:
I got hit early in the melee:
Great fun was had by young and old alike:
I'd say I took it pretty hard:
But in the end, Steve (pictured here at right) and I managed to get each other good and have a great laugh afterward:

I'd like to add that the lovely Dania Audax was smart, took the pictures seen here and managed to stay our of harm's way. She's only been in one pie fight here at dailykos, and she says she learned her lesson...
