The Sturgis Bike Rally will be hosting none other than John McCain!
Republican Presidential nominee John McCain coming to the Chip
If you want to camp you will have to sign the following waiver for your children.
Statement of Parentage and Consent
Please print this page, fill it out, attach a family photo and send it in with your check.
The undersigned hereby represents that he/she is the parent or legal guardian of the following named minor(s). The undersigned further represents that it is his/her desire that the minor children listed on this form be admitted to the Buffalo Chip Campground. This is done with full knowledge that the minors may observe some nudity or other activity which some individuals may deem inappropriate for viewing by a minor.
The undersigned is familiar with bike rallies and common activities which can be expected at such gatherings, and expressly consents to his/her childrens' presence at the campground.
If you do not know what the "other activity which some individuals may deem inapporpriate for view by a minor" is, then I will leave it to you to search google for "sturgis bike rally, south dakota, pics" and have a see for yourself. I, personally, have had co-workers bring photos to work to share and I hear the stories to go with them.
Now, I do not mean to critisize The Rally or the participants. But I do believe that this debauchery is not in accordance with what the Republican party has in recent years tried to sell as "Family Values."
Special note to Barack Obama and the Obama Campaign. Please do not discuss this event. When asked just respond with "We have no comment concerning McCain's choice of campaign venues." The McCain campaign will do all the damage themselves and any negative remarks by the Obama Campaign will only backfire.
And if you go, make certain to first check out the "Law & Safety Info" page. There you will find information from:
a card that was printed by the ACLU.
I wonder if the participants will thank the ACLU with a donation.
Have a safe trip!
UPDATE: Falsy used "north dakota" instead of "south dakota" (Thanks, bigforkgirl)
