It's a laugher, I gotta say. McCain starts off with the "celebrity" stuff again, but this time with a twist...Obama can't help you with your economic condition because his policies will hurt the economy. Damn celebrities and all that.
First, the ad. Click here to watch and check out around the thirteen second mark.

NARRATOR: Is the biggest celebrity in the world ready to help your family?
The real Obama promises higher taxes and more government spending.
So...fewer jobs.
Did you get that? The central attack on Obama's plan:
"MORE GOVERNMENT SPENDING" = "FEWER JOBS"
Oh, really???
See, I took Macroeconomics during the 1992 election, and I remember my Econ Prof talking about how Clinton's plan to inject more government spending into the economy would result in lower unemployment rates. It's classic Keynesian theory. The risk isn't higher unemployment, it's inflation.
Senator McCain, it's called the spending multiplier. Perhaps you should look into it a bit?
Because, see, in our history, more government spending has not resulted in less jobs. Not to bring up a sore subject, Sen. McCain, but you are old enough to remember both the New Deal and the G.I. Bill. Both of those programs were some of the largest governmental spending programs in our HISTORY, and they put millions of Americans to work.
Because governmental spending increases spending in infrastructure, research and development, construction, and yes, even helps to develop that energy plan you cite at the end of your ad. Which puts more people to work.
Now, I can understand that you are a bit confused. After all, you are merely parroting Heritage Foundation talking points with nothing to back it up.
But then again, that's why we are here to expose your big lie.
And believe me, it's the biggest lie you could make on the economy.
Time for some remedial economics, Senator.
