I'll use one glaring example to prove my point.

If there is no double standard then I shouldn't be able
to find one billboard, no aircraft carrier, no mountain side
size example of a double standard.

Right ?  I mean that's logic isn't it ?
To disprove "there is none" don't you only have to find "just one" ?

McSame brings the family to the Sturgis, South Dakota Biker Rally.

That sentence alone should pretty much slam dunk this one, imagine
if you will Barack bringing Michelle, Malia and Sasha to let's say,
a Gangsta Rappa Rally and partying, singing to the choir ?

Come on think about it, what would Morning Joe and his crew,
Wolf Blitzer, Chris Matthews, David Gregory, Glen Beck, the
apologizers, propagandists, enablers of ABC, CBS, NBC,
msNBC, CNN, FUX, et al, what would they have said about this ?

But this example gets, much, much more, well, like a friggin'
elephant eating pumpkins in front of the 50 inch plasma screen.

from the LA Times/Blogs: Top of the Ticket

Along with making history with his appearance, McCain came close to breaking new ground as he introduced his wife, Cindy McCain (who, Drogin wrote, "wore the equivalent of a nun's habit here: black jeans and a long-sleeved shirt").

McCain, Drogin relates, told his rowdy listeners "that he had encouraged his wife to enter the annual Sturgis beauty contest, one in which nudity is not uncommon. ... 'I told her with a little luck she could be the only lady to serve as first lady and Miss Buffalo Chip,' he said with a broad grin."

There were a couple of excellent diaries here on DKos yesterday, please
post a link with any comment you'd like to make.

But what I want to discuss is what would have been the MSM commentary
if Barack while attending the Gangsta Rappa Rally had offered to enlist
Michelle in let's say a jello/mud wrestling or wet T contest or just
offered to have her walk the Gansta Rappa Runway in a bikini, smiling
and waving ? And all this with the Obama family onstage ?

What would they have said if Michelle stood there smiling, giggling as
Barack threw her hat into the jello/mud/mosh pit ring ?

Quod Erat Demonstratum, no make that SNAP Q.E.D. !!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

Might be a horrible rumour (sorry for repeating if it is) but i wonder does anyone have inside info?

kos wants to claim the "MSM" tag,
the only way he's going to get it
is if Obama is the next POTUS.

Otherwise he better get use to being
      part of the "underground media".

part of the Keating Five?  Tough to imagine that the MSM would have looked the other way on that one.  In fact, if Obama had done half the shit that McCain has, the MSM would have pulverized him down to a 2% approval rating and soon to be ousted Senator from IL (just like Carole Mosely Braun).

dismissed it as one stop on a long campaign trail and McCain probably didn't what the event was all about.  I emailed her (Kate Phillips) and asked when the media was going to start holding McCain accountable for what he says and does - he's 72 years old, not 12 and there is no way he didn't know exactly what he was doing.

Disgusting that this got little to no attention in the corporate media.

"Further, suppose that all 500,000 of those bikers and their babes were African-American.  Let's ponder the visual imagery here, and how it might be presented by the media and received by the electorate. What are the chances that Obama could survive association with an event at which hundreds of thousands of black motorcyclists gathered for a long weekend of thundering exhaust pipes and overt sexuality?  Visualize half a million black bikers, many of them shit-faced drunk or stoned, sporting tattoos and leather from head to toe, roaring into a small midwestern town.  Throw in hip-hop and soul music for a soundtrack instead of Toby Keith, and then imagine Obama and his wife standing there onstage as one of the featured events.  Does anyone believe that our national media would gloss over a spectacle like that?"

I'll take that as a "gone ape shit ?" on the above poll.
