MSNBC is the sole owner of US 2008 Distribution rights. Isn't this supposed to be an international event for the people of all countries from around the world?
We ARE alredy living in a completely censored society. Why are we not allowed to see the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Olympics without subscribing to the Main Stream Media?
Simple diary, I know, but I was born and raised in post-war Germany, and my hackles are up high. Especially since us post-World War II kids were introduced to the crimes of our own country at the age of 6 in first grade, through having to watch concentration camp videos, and, as far as I'm concerned, permanently vaccinated against any possible repeat of such things.
What the hell is wrong with watching the Chinese opening ceremonies, asides from the fact that we might find out that their militaristic display of anything and everything is quite beautiful to look at, but very frightening at the same time to someone like me.
They appear to be a giant ant-hill community of humans, each designed to fill a mass-role.
Yeah, sure it's impressive, but I have my own doubts along the way.
Why not let us watch it and make up our own minds?
