McCain is so war happy, so enamored with war, that he wants to wage Iraqi style war in minority neighborhoods here in America as well. Below is what he said on the matter while speaking to the National Urban League:
Today, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) spoke to the National Urban League, a group "devoted to empowering African Americans to enter the economic and social mainstream." When an audience member asked him how he planned to reduce urban crime, McCain praised Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s efforts in New York City before invoking the military’s tactics in Iraq as the model for crime-fighting:
MCCAIN: And some of those tactics - you mention the war in Iraq - are like that we use in the military. You go into neighborhoods, you clamp down, you provide a secure environment for the people that live there, and you make sure that the known criminals are kept under control. And you provide them with a stable environment and then they cooperate with law enforcement.

And what does he envision next? Abu Graib style detention centers built though out the country to incarcerate those rounded up? And how long does he want this Iraq style war waged on the United States’ minority population to last? A hundred years? Maybe a thousand? He did after all promise, "There’s going to be more wars, my friends! I hate to have to tell you that. There will be many more wars!" His answer to every problem in the world is war, and more war. (He's also itching to mix it up with Russia. I get the feeling he still thinks the Cold War and the Soviet Union still exist, just like Czechoslovakia). Do some of these wars John McCain has in mind take place inside the United States? John McCain always has been hostile to minorities (and woman) and voted against their interests for as long as he’s been in politics. After having read Macain's article in the U.S. News and World Report about his captivity in North Viet Nam, and how he kept calling the Vietnamese "Gooks", "Slope Heads" and other such derogatory names though out the article, he sounded to me like he felt he was fighting some kind of "race war" while he was over there all those long years ago. Now he sounds like he wants to start fighting one over here.
