I swear..Vonage is turning me into a right wing, zenophobic nut case.If I have to talk to some one else in the Phillipines again I will scream.
The problem started last August. After my husband killed himself. I don't want any one to feel sorry for me, but I wasn't in the best frame of mind. His business line stopped working and I attempted to correct the problem. I am tech savvy, and not unused to dealing with computer/router issues. But lets face it, I was not in the best frame of mind.So I just let it go.Oh I forgot to mention that the account was/is his name. I should have enlisted my bud Kevin to pretend to be my husband to cancel the account, but I didn't. Every single other company I have had to deal with over account and name changes have been wonderful. Especially American Express..But not Vonage..More about their rudeness and insensitivity later.
Anyway six months ago I started trying to deal with changing the account over to my name. They read from the same script. I got no where and after about 10 calls dropped it again. Remember I am still paying for a number that hasn't worked in a year, and my other number I changed to Comcast VOIP
last month.Last week I decided to take it up again, and called and got a fax number to fax over the death certificate. And my receipt shows the fax went through. So I call back Monday and am told they never got the fax and gave me ANOTHER fax number. So again I fax the death certificate to the new number and again it goes through.I call back yesterday and am told again they never received it. I lost it, which is really unusual for me as professionally I do tech support and know what its like to be screamed it.I ask to be transferred to a supervisor..I wait 10 minutes and get someone else who yells at me and tells me I have no rights as the number belongs to me husband.I scream he's dead..and hang up. Yesterday afternoon I filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals office here in Pa.Oh and get this ..The billing comes out of my checking account and while I switched to Comcast July 22nd I was billed for the home number which is now Comcast and the number that I can't get changed and hasn't worked. I got back on the phone and again got no where. I guess the only way out of this is to stop the auto pay..
