It has been some time since I wrote a diary mocking Red State, which purports to be the Right's answer to Daily Kos. But after checking in with their site this morning, I found surprisinging little to mock...
And thats mainly because there is little to nothing on the site. As of 9:35 a.m., Pacific Daylight time, here are the number of comments attached to this mornings front page diaries:
No. 1, a screed about the Democratic platform on abortion, one comment.
No. 2, two comments
No. 3, four comments
No. 4, four comments
And No. 5, one whole comment.
Pitiful, less comments then a diary posted about someones cat being lost on DK. But I do want to comment on their number 5 diary, which is a rousing call to arms to support their candidates in really, really close races. Here is the sum total:
In Texas 22, Pete Olson is about to be endorsed by the Chamber of Commerce (now there is a surprise endorsement, eh). So let's all give to Pete as he tries to upset Nick Lampson in what should be one of the safest Republican districts in county.
In PA 11, Lou Barretta (R) is up and running with his first Ad! Wahoo. Watch him kick Democratic incumbent Paul Kajorski's butt come November. No poll numbers, no analysis, but hey we are going to Kick. Some. Butt.
And in the really big race, lets back Sean Parnell in AK at-large over the corrupt Don Young. You know, that corrupt, pork loving, liberal conservative Democrat Republican Don Young. Thats right folks, their really big pickup here is to boot out the corrupt Republican, and replace him with a younger, slightly less corrupt Republican.
You just can't make this stuff up.
