As an avid fan of the parody web site, Conservapedia (wait, it's NOT parody?), I often find some real gems. Wingnuts have found throough numerical analysis of Barack Obama's birth certificate number that it indicates he is not only "The One" but he is also probably Satan, or one of his spawn.
Don't worry about giving traffic to Andy Schlafly's Conservapedia, he can afford the bandwidth charges.
Explication below the fold.
Recall that Greater Wingnuttia has had their pantaloons in a twist for some time over the birth certificate of Barack Obama. Following the Obama campaign's release of an image of the birth certificate, posted both on his web site and here at DKos, one of the many since been proven bogus issues raised include the fact that the original scanned image omitted the serial number on the certificate's image. Since then, Factcheck.org has examined the actual document, and received the explanation from the Obama campaign that
The campaign then rushed to release the document, and the rush is responsible for the blacked-out certificate number. Says Shauna: "[We] couldn't get someone on the phone in Hawaii to tell us whether the number represented some secret information, and we erred on the side of blacking it out. Since then we've found out it's pretty irrelevant for the outside world."
Factcheck has a photograph of the birth certificate which includes the certificate number:
151 1961 - 010641
THIS is where Wingnuttia descends into uber-parody. A Conservapedian by the name of AdmiralNelson posted the following comment on the page which discusses the Barack Obama article there:
The reason I bring this up, and I think the REAL reason this [birth certificate number] was masked, is because numerological analysis shows something very disturbing. If you add up the three sets of digits thus:
151 + 1961 + 010641 = 12753
and then add the individual digits of the result thus:
1 + 2 + 7 + 5 + 3 = 18
the final result, 18, is the product of three sixes (3 x 6 = 18). Three sixes, or 666, sort of speaks for itself.
The Conservapedia Obama article is pretty amusing as well, using the picture of him without his hand over his heart as the main lead (source picture still erroneously labeled as "during the pledge of allegiance" though they did get the caption in the article correct). In the first paragraph, with no supporting citation, they state "If elected, Obama would be the first Affirmative Action President."
Wait. Again, Conservapedia isn't a parody? This isn't Steven Colbert riffing?
