The main stream media has been beside themselves with every little tale about some supposed Hillary supporter who will be voting for McCain.
We've heard ad nauseum about the 'concern' these same faces, displayed over and over again, have about the party just not trying hard enough to make them feel welcome. We may be being played.
I have strong connections to Denver. Lived there awhile ago, have family and friends there, and am shopping for another house there right now so that I have a residence when we visit.
Yesterday I received a phone call from a friend in Arvada who related to me, with some puzzlement and amusement, that she had received a call from an acquaintance who asked her if she would be interested in attending a Democrats for McCain function.
After a few jokes about being a "crazy Puma...grrrr", she laughed off the idea of marching in her heels but closed by saying "I'm watching the news Morgan because it may be interesting to see who shows up".
You see..my friend is a Republican and the woman who called her to invite her to participate was a Republican also. I didn't think that much about it until I read kos' humorous insertion about the dozen of PUMA's that showed up in Denver.
When you see those PUMA protests it might do well to take the numbers with a grain of salt...and if you're from Denver, look for some of your more conservative friends. The press may swallow these events hook, line and sinker, but we don't have to.
