Have you seen this? After waging a strike against DKos, then moving on MyDD and other blogs to wage her futile web-based misinformation campaign for HRC, Alegre's created her own blog. Yes, she's created a fully-operational HRC propoganda ministry for all the world to enjoy.
Here are some choice quotes:
This is with respect to pledged HRC delegates who, in the name of unity, will be voting for Obama:
We all know what's got to happen in Denver if we want to take back the White House in November. Trick is, convincing the pledged delegates to honor their pledge to vote for Hillary, and convincing the Superdelegates to back Hillary as the ONLY electable Democrat out there.
TO that end I want to encourage every one of you to hit the phones on Monday. I've put some damn good information up on this site over the past few days - now use it! ;o)
I've been writing quite a bit about this because it's important you guys. The DNC and BHO are trying to force Hillary's pledged delegates to break the law in 13 states where they have Binding Vote laws on the books. We - the voters those pledged delegates represent - have GOT to make some noise over their planned betrayal of our trust, and hold them accountable regarding that promise they made to us when they asked us to send them to Denver to represent us.
And here she is on claims that she is using her "leverage" against Obama:
Leverage... yeah I can see why BHO would be surprised that Hillary and her team of negotiators would act like she's got leverage. I mean really - how dare they act like they have any power to bargain and negotiate when they're speaking on behalf of the Democrat who won the popular vote AND pulled in more primary votes than ANY Democrat in our party's history.
Finally, she still believes that HRC can pull this thing out:
Look, don't get me wrong guys... I'm working 24/7 to try to pull off a miracle in Denver and send Hillary into the general election to beat McCain, so I'm not usually one to take on someone who goes after BHO in their ads . . .
This is just nuts. Is Alegre still being paid by the bankrupt HRC campaign? Or, even scarier, is she doing this out of sincere personal conviction and belief in HRC? Anybody who remembers her smug self-righteousness around here (remember all the "sigh" comments in response to anybody questioning her HRC wisdom?) could not doubt the passion of her HRC love.
It should be obvious to everyone, that the Clinton's are walking an uneasy tightrope, trying to simultaneously undermine Obama while appearing to support him in the interest of the party. My favorite was Hillary's brother attending that McCain strategy meeting, on top of her earlier suggestions that he can't win, all the while disavowing any suggestion that she's not 100% in Obama's corner. It will take every last bit of the Clinton's political ability (aka two-faced duplicity) to pull this one off while maintaining even the slightest veneer of putting the party's interests above their own.
