The Diageo/Hotline national poll has Obama up by four points.
It was taken August 18-24 with the margin of error at 3.0%. Obama is at 44 percent, McCain at 40, with 13 percent undecided (no third party candidates).
He did well with Biden as 55% of Democrats are satisfied with him. 28% would have preferred someone else.
According to the poll 70% feel Obama is "in touch" with the average American. 61% for McCain. 66% say Obama has appeared presidential. 50% fir McCain. McCain has an advantage of 74% in terns if of preparation to lead the country. 58% for Obama.
And a slight majority of voters think Obama will win.
Addendum: Forgot to mention, the people polled voted for Bush over Kerry 48 to 35 percent. I don't know how accurate the poll is, but I look for good news wherever I can find it.
