Yesterday an email circulated about a barely legal fundraiser for GOP candidate Jason Chaffetz. The Salt Lake Tribune referenced Daily Kos in today's paper. Could be a first for Utah.
The liberal blog, Daily Kos, though, posted the e-mail and questioned the legality of the Chamber, a 501(c)(6), to host such a fund raiser.
More from the Congressional race in Utah's 3rd. The Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring an open house for GOP candidate Jason Chaffetz, the genius who's called for 'tent cities' for illegal aliens. The SL Chamber is a 501(c)(6). Is it legal for them to host a candidate? Anybody? Below is a copy of the blast they sent out.
