I'm sure you watched The Speech last night. As did everyone else geeky enough to post comments on a political web site :)
By all accounts, she knocked it out of the park. It was smart, it was genuine, and it was impassioned. She did three major things with this speech:
- - Thanked all of her supporters and vindicated their hard work for her,
- - Smacked John McCain,
- - Made a heartfelt call for party unity.
And she did them in style. Easily the best speech of the convention so far.
So here's my question to you:
If Hillary is your candidate, and she has just so clearly rejected John McCain as an acceptable choice and just as clearly said "we must elect Obama", why wouldn't you support Obama too?
I'm not trying to be snarky or anything - I'd like to honestly know why. What can we, as Obama supporters, do to convince you to heed Hillary's call for unity?
I'd like to ask everyone who participates in this thread to not HR any comments. I'd like to get the issues out in the open and discuss them like adults, and I don't want people equating Hillary support with trollish behavior.
I'm not sure how many PUMAs or whatever are lurking, but now's your chance to come out and lay it out in the open. I'm willing to try it if you are.
