The best line of the night belongs to Bob Casey. In the middle of an otherwise tepid speech, he dropped this zinger about McCain: "That's not a maverick, that's a sidekick"
This is a beautifully succinct way to describe and belittle McCain for the following reasons:
It portrays him as a follower, not a leader.
It makes him look weak.
It ties him to Bush again (a consistent theme in this campaign).
It mocks him on his perceived strength.
It is lighthearted, yet powerful and damaging.
Below is the link to that portion of the speech.

We have to start portraying McCain as a follower, with weak leadership skills and poor judgment. If leadership is his perceived strength, then let's start hitting hit on it. He keeps changing his positions in order to be elected, but that's not leadership, that's pandering which is a trait of a true follower.
There was great "photo shopped" image on Talking Points Memo (that has disappeared?) showing Bush as Batman and McCain as Robin. If anyone has a link to that, please put it in the comments section.
