This quote could be (and considering CNNs track record of late, likely is) completely out of context, but I found it too hilarious not to check. Here's the story link, about the GOP congratulating Dems for nominating a black candidate:

This is to be expected, I suppose. But the killer is the quote from Ed Rollins, a campaign assistant for Huckabee.
"Obviously, my party wasn't going to [nominate a black candidate for the White House] so I'm glad Democrats did it."
It's possible he meant that they weren't going to nominate a black candidate this year, even though technically Alan Keyes was running the Republican primary. But still, I can't help but view Rollins' use of the term "obviously" as an indication that a black candidate on the Republican ticket is repugnant to him.
