With Sarah Palin chosen as the VP candidate for the Republicans, many are questioning her suitability to hold the office. One wonders how Palin can be considered a serious VP candidate with such a sparse resume.
It might be argued that she is continuing the Republican tradition of aspiring to hold an office for which she has no credentials. One can only hope that America does not make the change from a lightweight Governor from Texas to a lightweight Governor from Alaska.
Palin was asked today why many Americans can not even locate Wasilla, Alaska on a map. The former beauty queen contestant gave the following answer:
I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don't have maps, and, uh, I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq everywhere like, such as and I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., er, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children.
Good luck America. Your choice seems obvious. We will be watching your election coverage closely up here (or down here for Palin) in Canada.
