I was perusing the boards over at the BBC News website and took a look at the reaction from this morning's news about Sarah Palin getting the nod for VP of this Republican ticket.
Of course, there are some very serious comments, some more astute than others.
But, it's these next few comments I'm providing after the jump that gave me the best chuckle.
*full disclosure - I don't work for the BBC, nor do I advocate reading this diary if you're seeking serious news and discussion.
So, as I'm browsing the posts I find one post that gets me to chuckle and give a nod to the British for their subtle sense of humor and sublime way of displaying it....
Cleese would have been brilliant!
Indeed, a cheeky man with a wit that's as razor fine as any out there! Surely one of the better ideas that could have helped McCain.
Then, when I kept reading the posts I noted a lot that spoke of Palin's NRA membership, her hunting skills and being a modern day frontier woman.
Just as I was about to surf to another site, I saw one last post that had me laughing out loud once again...
That's it. Nothing more. I just wanted to share a few laughs with any other Monty Python fans out there.
The Lumberjack Song
The Spam Scene
The Dead Parrot Sketch
Cheers!
