There are too many Palin diaries out there and if this keeps up we will make the MSM's bogus theory (that McCain has eclipsed the Obama speech) a self-fulfilling prophecy.
So...back to Obama and Biden. They are starting their bus tour of PA, OH and MI today. They stopped at a biodiesel plant in Monaca, PA (near Pittsburgh) which makes fuel from chicken fat. Obama was asked about Palin and called her a compelling person and distanced himself from an earlier statement issued by the campaign. Obama also praised Governor Rendell for his support for alternative fuels.

Is there anyone in the area who attended the event or has some news about it? We need to keep promoting our candidate, as the Media will do anything possible to make McCain seem relevant. We could use people to 'live blog' the bus tour.
There is nothing the Media would love better than to say that the great speech, watched by 40 million, did not change the race. They would love to focus on 'lingering questions about Obama' which is a subtle way for them to try to make the election a referendum on Obama (which is a subtle way of saying, wake up America, do you know the candidate is black!).
So let's collectively get a grip people, and get refocused. Sarah Palin is a forgettable candidate who gave a forgettable speech. She is not a qualified VP candidate for the times, and the fact that McCain did not pick a better candidate is a net benefit for Obama, especially in battleground states.
Voters will take note of the quality of Biden v. Palin and the judgment showed by Obama as compared with McCain's and will vote for Obama. In 1992, Clinton delighted in addressing the judgment/experience issue by pointing out that his first Presidential decision involved picking Al Gore whereas Bush I picked Quayle. He would ask the audience 'who do you think is better, Gore or Quayle??' And the audience let it be known what they thought of Quayle (answer: not much). The fact that Clinton picked Gore reassured a lot of voters that he could handle the presidency. That helped close the deal for him. Obama will benefit from the same analysis by voters.
So let's take advantage of one of the great speeches in political history and keep pushing Obama's message to the media.
