McCain, for whatever reason, has selected a Vice-Presidential candidate that was bound to create controversy and questions.
Its been interesting to watch the GOP talking heads scramble as they try to explain the mess that has landed in the middle of their convention, but they are trying.
Unfortunately, Lindsey Graham has gone too far...way to far.
In an interview with Politico Graham, in desperation to come up with any excuse why the GOP should not be questioned regarding this fiasco, reveals just how low they will go.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, a top surrogate for John McCain, Tuesday accused critics of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin of sexism for suggesting she could not handle her multiple roles as mother, soon-to-be grandmother, McCain's running mate and, potentially, vice president.
"Would a man be asked this question? Probably not," the South Carolina Republican said in an interview with Politico.
"Did anybody ask [Democratic vice presidential nominee] Joe Biden [similar questions] when his tragedy hit him?"
Is he serious, does the McCain campaign truly compare a pregnant teenager with Biden's loss?
For those who need to be reminded Biden was elected, at the age of 30, to the Senate.
However, just days before he was going to be sworn in his wife and three children were in an automobile accident. Neilia and Naomi, their 18 month old daughter were killed. His son's were seriously injured.
I'm afraid its not the same Mr. Graham. Perhaps you, John McCain, Sarah Palin and others in your campaign should take a pause and remember that at least Palin still has her daughter to see when she comes home.
