I see talkleft.com has instituted a rule against personal attacks on Gov. Palin and her unwed, very pregnant daughter. Wish this had have been instituted for Sen. Obama, when that blog was involved in some rather personal attacks against Sen. Obama as he was defeating Sen. Clinton.
Also, through tortured logic, Big Tent Democrat claimed that when Sen. McCain was accusing Sen. Obama of racism, when he simply was pointing out what the Republicans were doing to point out his "exoticness" (code word for black) that it was the chickens come home to roost. Basically he accused the Obama campaign of being silent during the vicious sexist attacks she endured (still waiting for Sen. Clinton to apologize for that assassination comment though).
I would posit that the Palin pick is a nod to the chaos Sen. Clinton and her followers created during the primary that has come home to roost on Sen. Obama, much like they knew it would. It was her insistence that she was aggrieved and unfairly punished that fueled the Gov. Palin pick, as opposed to the reality, which she simply lost because she ran a bad campaign. Sen. Clinton wins in a landslide in she organizes better in the caucuses.
I'm not here to cause disunity or attack Big Tent Democrat, who is obviously a better blogger and journalist than I could ever be. I just want to point out that the Gov. Palin pick has a lot to do with the tactics of Team Clinton in the primary. And we should all recognize that.
