Or not?
It was announced yesterday that Obama will make a surprise appearance on Fox's Bill O'Reilly show on Thursday, putting Barack face to face with (one of) this site's most avowed enemy. There is no love lost as O'Reilly has vowed to attack supporters of our website and most of our members routinely criticize the antics of O'Reilly.
The Sarah Palin affair has presented many opportunities for contributors to post their findings and opinions here, some posts wiser than others. We face fair criticism from within and without on what gets posted here. We are usually proud of the openness of the forum although, particularly this week, many of us have cringed more often than usual as certain diaries fell to the level of supermarket checkout fodder without adequate sourcing.
Obama himself was critical of the innuendos...
Our people were not involved in any way in this, and they will not be. And if I ever thought that there was somebody in my campaign that was involved in something like that, they'd be fired.
It is highly likely that O'Reilly will be in Obama's face about Daily Kos on Thursday.
O'REILLY: Well, that means the senator has to fire the Daily Kos, because you'll remember that he and other Democratic candidates spoke at their convention, despite withering criticism from the "Factor."
....But, never again do these people, ever again can they associate with them. Next one who does will be featured here.

How will Obama react is what I'd like the focus of this diary to be, as we should be prepared to defend our chosen home.
To be fair, Markos has not been personally onboard with Obama for this whole ride, and he has explained his reasons and right to be critical of the Democratic candidate in the past, gaining himself some fair criticism from commentators here.
What will Barack's advisors have him say regarding Kos?
I am not in the least concerned about anything Bill O'Reilly utters, and most posters here would likely agree. I am concerned about what Barack Obama says Thursday night, and rather than scramble after the fact, we should be prepared for the worst, much like hurricane preparations.
Too much good work comes out of these pages, from the humanitarian health care coverage stories of nyceve to the sacrifice of droogie in calling Associated Press on the carpet, and thousands of other contributions. We need to, in the comments, make a working list of the good, to counter the potential negative.
If you agree this might be useful in the next few days, well, you know what to do.
