I know there are many who have watched Barack Obama's historic speech. There are some who may have been swayed by his speech, and there are some who may still have issues with his candidacy. To those who are still undecided, I do not fully understand your logic, but respect your right to feel as you do.
But for those who are interested, I am polling to determine how many will watch Sarah Palin's speech and John McCain's speech this week.
The issues could not be clearer, and with the sudden revelations about McCain's VP selection there is a narrative that has left many to question her abilities. Still, is it not right to thoroughly question and challenge those things that we do not understand?
Well, for the REPUBLICAN party, THAT is NOT how things work. The "trust me" and blind obedience of their party (initiated by BUSH) should suffice for all, "if" (according to the REPUBLICAN party) you want to truly consider yourself an American and patriot!
I was asked (as a veteran), how I could honestly ask questions about McCain's VP pick, when he has served in the military, like me! As insulting as this was; it was equally horrifying that it came from military personnel who feel that their duty is to have me abandon my common sense because of his (McCain) military service!
However, when I asked the following: "What are Sarah Palin's true family values?" "What about her controversial pastor?" "What about her AIP affiliation?" "Her ethics investigation?" The typical response is that she was a Governor and Mayor, and McCain balances it out.
If there are some who are willing to accept this premise, then God help you, because I am unwilling to jeopardize my future and my children's future on a person who has as much qualifications as my mayor, and will require on the job training for her position!
UPDATE: This is a friendly poll! I am not trying to vet Sarah Palin, that's been done to death! I just want to see how many will watch their speeches. I guess it is a curiosity thing? Thanks!
