I knew it would happen eventually, but it definitely has. I can't find any news about any real issues anywhere. Everything is about Sarah Palin and her daughter, the smears against Obama, and all the other distractions that don't belong in politics in the first place. I mean, seriously, are we really recycling old jokes about the Clintons just to prove that politicians play dirty?
Hold on a second (looking out my door), yep, thought so. I am still in Iraq. But instead of the media and blog sites like this one (or any one for that matter) discussing what makes sense with Iraq, everyone is worried about "defining" Sarah Palin. Well you can keep that crap. Instead of debating how to lower gas prices and how to keep people in their homes, the media is stuck on stupid arguing over every little meaningless detail. And yes, it is meaningless. Have we even heard one single mention of providing health care ever since the final primary election?
I was motivated a few months back. I am in Iraq, been gone for 400 plus days, and still found ways to make calls to Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Ohio on behalf of the Obama campaign earlier this year. I am so turned off now that I stopped donating.
Just think, all that progress that was made by this campaign by staying above the fray, and now it's a race to get as dirty as possible. Yeah, I am going to vote for Obama still. But you can rest assured I won't fall into that trap again next election cycle.
