I had initially thought that the Sarah Palin pick was a politically motivated and shrewd move on McCain's part.  But I wasn't ready for how nasty a person she really is.  Her classless speech at the RNC tells you what kind of person she is- and what type of VP she would be.

Palin is a female Giuliani.  She came across as shockingly evil.  She was a rabid attack dog and knew exactly what she was doing.  With this fake angry look, she mocked Obama's community organizing experience, as if that was the only thing he has ever done, leaving out the years as a law school lecturer, State Senator, U.S. Senator, etc.  She mocked his speaking, his background, his call for change, and his confidence.  Her entire role tonight was to make fun of Obama and Biden.

I am curious if undecided women are swayed by this act.  I would expect many women will be turned off by this type of behavior.

It would be dangerous to underestimate her, as she has certainly riled up the right wing base.  Biden has his work cut out for him.  In my opinion, he MUST attack back swiftly and just as hard, and just as nasty.  It should not matter that she is a woman, I kept telling myself during her speech; she has gone into such disrespectful territory, after Obama was so classy and graceful by asking the press to lay off Palin's family, that she deserves whatever attacks may possibly come her way from now on.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
