So what was the AP's fair and balanced take on the Palin speech?
Sarah Palin delivered.
If there was any question about the credibility of the AP, consider the question answered. The AP has become the latest media source to become Foxified.
Palin delivers star-turning performance at RNC
Star turning? Like a celebrity maybe? The speech may not have been terrible, but does anyone out there consider her speech powerful enough to alter the writ of celestiality.
But the mask really comes off when the AP starts using the GOP's own iconic idolatry for praising Palin:
the former TV sportscaster spoke in calm, TV-friendly tones reminiscent of Ronald Reagan. Like the former GOP president, Palin warmed the crowd with quips and jokes.
There you go again AP.
Tired of the AP delivering biased coverage?
Contact your local editor and bring up some of the following points:
Most of the readers who subscribe to a local paper do so to get local news. Your local newspaper is likely paying an exorbatant amount of money to run AP stories, which doesn't help struggling papers cope with diminishing revenues.
Make the point that the paper could hire, in many cases, several additional reporters to cover local stories and sporting events. The biggest complaint we get at the paper I work for is not enough local sports coverage.
For many papers the AP is only source of national/international news for many papers. But there are viable alternatives if a paper wants to dump the AP.
Contact you local newspaper editor and ask them to try out the Los Angeles Times/Washington Post newswire service.

The LAT/WP newswire is putting out 3-4 times more stories on the election as the AP, and scoop the AP most of the time. Their national/international coverage is better than the AP. The only downside is a lack of photos. But the cost is far less, and, your paper can try out the service for free
