Apologize for the short diary. The Alaska Court system's docket page shows that today, the court DENIED the motion to make the case file confidential.
The 9/4/08 docket entry says:
09/04/2008 Order Denying Motion Case Motion #3: Motion to Make Case File Confidential
The link Andrew Sullivan provided only worked once after I'd tried several times to access it, but this seems to indicate that whatever information (good, bad, or irrelevant) is contained in those divorce papers is going to be fair game for the press, if they haven't already accessed it.
Update: Several commenters claim this was previously diaried, but there are no prior posts regarding the court's DENIAL of the motion to seal. Let's let the public and the press make of these papers what they will; the important thing is, whatever is in there will be accessed.
Update 2: I've posted the entire docket below listing the documents on file with the court, for those with capability of searching court documents electronically.
Update 3: Thank you for your kind comments. Let's keep working for the kind of change Barack Obama represents, and watch with amusement at how this scandal stuff plays out.
Update 4: My first Rec diary! Thank you and keep sleuthing in the name of hope. YES WE CAN!!
