- Arthur: 5 in Belize; 2 in Honduras
- Dolly: 1 in Mexico; 1 in Florida
- Fay: 15 in Florida; 9 in Haiti; 3 in Dominican Republic.
- Gustav: 76 in Haiti; 26 in the U.S. (19 in Louisiana, 4 in Georgia, 3 in Mississippi); 12 in Jamaica; 8 in Dominican Republic
- Hanna: 137 in Haiti; 2 in Puerto Rico.
2 Goodwill Workers were shot to death in San Fransisco's Mission District, bringing the area's total number of violent deaths in the past two weeks to seven.
In Chatham Mass., a man drowned trying to rescue his ten year old daughter from treacherous ocean currents at a public beach.

People die every day and they are all special to someone. If we're going to take time out of our day to remember the famous ones and loved ones of famous people, let's stop and think about the ordinary people who die as well. I apologize for the ones I missed.
