I'm sure you've all read the story about MSNBC deciding that Keith Olbermann is too liberal and honest to be anchor during the upcoming Presidential debates. Sure, Countdown will be on before and will be on after. But for those crucial moments leading up to and directly after, he's just too gosh darn partisan to be in control.
Sorry Keith, your bosses are wusses.
Um, further ranting below the fold...
Now, the real reason this pisses me off and inspires me to vent is it being a perfect example of what so often is wrong with our beloved Democratic Party. Someone complains, suits freak, and for some unexplained reason we have to pretend we don't have a set.
FISA? Piss off you constitution reading elitists. Roll over.
Upset about your President wiping hiss ass with the Bill of Rights? Get over it. Whiners.
The Attorney General of the United States blatantly breaking the law? Let it go. Be wusses.
And this mindset gets so entrenched that when a bunch of freaking Republicans complain about MSNBC speaking for the left. Get ready to roll, daddy-o!
Gee, I wonder why damned Republicans cry foul when there is a strong not self hating liberal speaking truth. Probably because they can't compete with ideas so they have to work the ref's.
But, this is 2008 America. Sure, MSNBC's rating are through the roof compared to 2004. But because Fox News also hit paydirt on their "moron hunt" and won the proverbial battle it isn't good enough. Panic. Someone find David Gregory.
I'm absolutely totally serial that he'll just do wonderfully. Totally.
Sigh, sorry Keith that your bosses are dry powder types. Good luck defending freedom whilst jumping through your current hoops. Nobody ever said liberation would be easy...
