Please discuss the fact that the 9/11 Commission did not do its job. This video shows exactly what I am talking about: 9/11 and Wrong Policy, what the 9/11 Commission Report did to us.

UPDATE: READ WHAT I ACTUALLY WROTE and STOP LYING ABOUT WHAT I WROTE. I do NOT put forth ANY conspiracy theory. I am saying exactly what the US intelligence agencies say, al-qaeda attacked us and they were motivated by hatred at US foreign policies, US support of Israel and other oppressive regimes. I AGREE with the FBI testimony I play in the video. And I AGREE with the testimony from the the executive director of the 9/11 Commission. Many here at Kos don't want to talk about the motive for the attacks so you want to falsely label this a "conspiracy" diary when it is CLEARLY NOT. Judging from the poll, I can see why several of you are lying about what my diary says.
In their book, "Without Precedent" top 9/11 Commission admit to the game they played. Commissioners REJECTED mentioning the Israeli-Palestinian dispute. And you can see this video to see the testimony they excluded from the 9/11 Report.
It was not their mandate to worry about the American public reassessing US policy of supporting Israel! It is outrageous what they have done.
This 9/11, let's get the word out about what was done to us. They did not fulfill their mandate as laid out in Public Law 107-306:
The purposes of the Commission are to--
(1) examine and report upon the facts and causes relating to
the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, occurring at the
World Trade Center in New York, New York, in Somerset County,
Pennsylvania, and at the Pentagon in Virginia;
(2) ascertain, evaluate, and report on the evidence
developed by all relevant governmental agencies regarding the
facts and circumstances surrounding the attacks;
(3) build upon the investigations of other entities, and
avoid unnecessary duplication, by reviewing the findings,
conclusions, and recommendations of--
(A) the Joint Inquiry of the Select Committee on
Intelligence of the Senate and the Permanent Select
Committee on Intelligence of the House of
Representatives regarding the terrorist attacks of
September 11, 2001, (hereinafter in this title referred
to as the ``Joint Inquiry''); and
(B) other executive branch, congressional, or
independent commission investigations into the terrorist
attacks of September 11, 2001, other terrorist attacks,
and terrorism generally;
(4) make a full and complete accounting of the circumstances
surrounding the attacks, and the extent of the United States'
preparedness for, and immediate response to, the attacks; and
(5) investigate and report to the President and Congress on
its findings, conclusions, and recommendations for corrective
measures that can be taken to prevent acts of terrorism.
YET 9/11 Commissioners had the audacity to reject mentioning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the report. The top 9/11 Commissioners admit in their book, "we did however, have some disagreement over foreign policy issues. Much of it revolved around the question of al Qaeda's motivation. ... This was sensitive ground. Commissioners who argued that al Qaeda was motivated primarily by a religious ideology - and not by opposition to American policies - rejected mentioning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the report. In their view, listing U.S. support for Israel as a root cause of al Qaeda's opposition to the United States indicated that the United States should reassess that policy."
This is the nonsense they wrote in the report: "America's policy choices have consequences. Right or wrong, it is simply a fact that American policy regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and American actions in Iraq are dominant staples of popular commentary across the Arab and Muslim world. That does not mean U.S. choices have been wrong. It means those choices must be integrated with America's message of opportunity to the Arab and Muslim world. Neither Israel nor the new Iraq will be safer if worldwide Islamist terrorism grows stronger." AND THEY KEPT KEY TESTIMONY OUT of the report! You can see what they left out at this link: http://tinyurl.com/911WrongPolicy
Please send the link to others, let's not let them continue to make a mockery of 9/11.
Note: Some Kos readers are denying the motive of anger at US support of Israel. Peter Bergen explains that it is a LIE to claim that al-qeada only recently embraced the Palestinian cause. Bergen says, "conventional wisdom has it that bin Laden adopted the Palestinians issue only recently. Reading this declaration [the first declaration of war, issued in 1996] SHOULD PUT THAT CANARD TO REST." p164 The Bin Laden I Know, Peter Bergen
New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman has spread the same lie, so has Anderson Cooper.
Fact is, Osama bin Laden Has Been Angry About U.S. Support of Israel for Decades
