Put the rape kit story together with the earmarks for Wasilla and you have a powderkeg of a question for Palin - if any journo dares ask it.
Tony Knowles laying bare the story that the Alaska legislature was compelled to pass a state law to stop Wasilla charging victims for Rape Kits has been well diarized elsewhere. As has Palin's voracious appetite for earmarks in Wasila and Anchorage.
What I have not seen is anyone tying these themes together. At a time when Wasilla was milking the Feds for $27 million in earmarks they were charging crime victims for evidence gathering? To avoid $14k in costs? And they were the ONLY town in Alaska doing this?
It beggars the imagination to see Republicanism in all its glory. They sure are proud of her - now we know why.
Perhaps our friends at Jed can video this up.
