Since Sen. Ted Stevens is gaining in the polls in Alaska, Democrats should call for Palin to denounce Sen. Stevens, as he represents everything she is against, especially with earmarks and his Indictment.
This does two things:
If she does denounce him, then his boost from her on the ticket falters and provides us with ample opportunite for a senate seat pickup.
If she ignores the call or refuses to outright, it completely contradicts her messages of being against earmarks and also standing up to the "good ole boys" and fellow Republicans. We could keep pressuring her, and Obama doesn't even need to deal with her! Moreover, it still hurts Stevens' bid for re-election because a lot of national negative coverage (and free media) would hurt his chances.
What do you think, will the Democrats play this strategy to undermine Palin?
