VOICE OVER: Our very lives depend upon reliable, timely information on the weather coming our way. Information that is available to all. Rich. Poor. Black. White. To all Americans. Information that saves millions of lives.
But what if you had to pay for the "privilege" of information that may save your life? Could you afford it? Republicans want to privatize the Federal Weather Service. Privatize life saving information. In times of weather emergencies, would you be able to afford information that used to be available for free to all? (more below the fold)
What if you had to evacuate your home, your community and headed out onto the freeway but you ran into a tollbridge. You had to pay for the "privilege" to evacuate. Could you afford it? Republicans want to privatize highways.
Privatization.
Can America really afford it?
