I went back to the country fair today and managed not to buy any food I could spill down the front of me as I did yesterday and this time remembered to wear a hat. The tomato face sunburn was still very evident. Mental note to self wearing a Boston Red Sox cap got a few glares must buy regional specific head gear. I actually bought the cap because while at a conference I went down to the coffee shop at the hotel very early and in a pre-shower state to snag coffee and got some pretty disgusted looks riding down the elevator at the hotel. So I bought the hat. I am not a hat person. I look stupid in any kind of hat.
On to pictures....
This sheep....
Got a hair cut.... He was actually pretty mellow about it, not the most dignified position to be in.
Goats... and goats and kids...
This woman did in fact dress to match her dog. I asked and she looked at me like it was the dumbest question in the universe and said well of course and she goes everywhere with me even to work.
Horseshoe action....
Cowboys and cowgirls. Actually most of them were cow teens in the following pictures.
Gratuitous picture appealing to patriotic types...
I live in God's country so you have to pray before any major undertaking. There isn't much irony when it comes to Jesus in Tennessee so the livestock were included in the prayer which if you make a living from them, why not? The government might bail out large corporations but they aren't going to be doing much for the few small farmers left.
Little cowpoke...
Frankly I think it might be a lot safer to let your kid play football or skate board over broken glass than this...
I only saw one young guy wearing a cast in the whole bunch and he was using it to pick girls up with.
Calf roping and pole bending....
Well thanks for looking and I would love to see any recent pictures you have taken.
