I know hate is a strong word, but what can I say? During the primaries, I hated to see and hear this woman. Whether it be on Larry King, Hardball or CNN she drove me nuts, always pounding Hillary Clinton's talking points. Over and over again I heard her and her friends like Lanny Davis sear those Hillary points into the publics' discussion. I now know why she turned my stomach. SHE IS GOOD
Ever since she supported Obama, she came out swinging and I mean swinging hard. She stays on point and slices up the competition. This past weekend I had the unfortunate opportunity of watching Gov. Richardson debate Gov. Pawlenty on Face The Nation. That was a sad discussion to say the least. When the moderator asked Pawlenty why Mccain thought Gov's and mayors were not adequately prepared to be President, as stated during the debates, Pawlenty turned the conversation to Obama experience working in a bipartisan manner without answering the question. So, what does Richardson do? he swallows hard and directs his answer to Pawlenty using vague rhetoric and vague descriptions. Why not first take Pawlenty to task for not answering? then bring in the Obama record of working with sen Lugar and others?
On the other hand, I came across Wasserman Schultz on Wolf's program. They were discussing which candidate had a better record in regards to women's rights. My apologies for not having exact quotes, but let me tell you this. She destroyed Kay Baily Hutchinson, who had the impossible task of proving Mccain was a supporter of women's rights and equal pay. Wasserman Schultz stayed on point and at times even interrupted Huthinson to say she was making shit up and was WRONG.
In my opinion there is no better surrogate for Obama than Wasserman Schultz. She is extremely bright and passionate. Her energy and focus is what everyone of those so-called undecided voters need to experience. Cheers to Debbie Wasserman Schultz. My only wish is that she was my represenative here in Washington State.
BTW, sorry for lack of quotes and spelling errors. i'm a stay-at-home dad with 4 kids, and have been trying to write this for nearly a week...
