Todd Palin, under the direction of John McCain's operatives who have taken over the government of the State of Alaska, will not appear before the legislative committee investigating "Troopergate." His reason, according to AP's Matt Volz is that "he no longer believes the Legislature's investigation is legitimate."

This is what the last eight years have brought us. Palin holds no elected office in the state and should be bound by the same rule of law other Alaskans are--yet he can claim that he is not required to submit to a subpoena because he doesn't believe in the investigation?
It's bad enough that our state government has been replaced by the RNC. Sarah Palin's office no longer speaks to the press--all queries are forwarded to the McCain staff. The Attorney General, a Palin appointee (that means unqualified old school chum) decided this week that he would no longer cooperate with the investigation and that state employees would not appear to deliver their subpoenaed testimony--and then he went on vacation to Kansas. Even though the committee that started the investigation in 2/3 republican, this legal and necessary inquiry is being hijacked because it's too "partisan."
This is an example of why impeachment should have never been off the table. The party in power has twisted the law to a point that a common citizen believes that they are above the code we mere mortals must live under. Bush's use of signing statements to falsely empower his personal definition of behavior has now been co-opted by the McCain camp who are, according to the story,
...doing all it can to prevent the Legislature from completing a report on whether the GOP's vice presidential nominee abused her power as governor.
I called the local Obama office today and am going out door-to-door this weekend. Working to get Obama/Biden elected so I can join in the laughter when Sarah comes crawling back on November 5. Can you say "lame duck?"
