Haven't we seen this all before? Cover-up, refuse to testify, stonewall. Is it only a matter of time before George Bush pardons Sarah Palin?
Sarah Palin agreed to be investigated and wanted the truth to come out, claiming she had nothing to hide. Well she sure has a funny way of showing it doesn't she?
I don't understand how the McCain campaign can use partisan politics as an excuse for shutting down this investigation when an overwhelming majority of the committee members that were part of the unanimous vote to forward the investigation were Republicans. Once the Barracuda became a member of the Republican ticket; open government, honesty, and disclosure took a back seat because the wheels of justice might end up running the Republican noise machine into a ditch. Let's also not forget that John McCain is already talking about firing people that the president isn't allowed to fire. The Palin-McCain ticket hasn't even been elected and they are engaged in a cover-up. Did I just say Palin-McCain? I believe I did.
This label of Sarah Palin as a reformer reminds me of the joke when a woman walks into her bedroom to find her husband having sex with another woman. the offending couple get dressed and the woman leaves the room and the husband replies, what woman? there was no woman in here. Never has a campaign been so reckless with the truth.
On a bit of a side note, evangelicals are so in love with the perky Palin but also claim to be strong believers in submission to authority that they claim comes from God. I guess that ignoring subpoenas while committing contempt of court doesn't count as long as you guzzle the Cool-Aid of the far right.
To be blunt, Sarah Palin is a bully and bullies do not like to face the music when their bulllying is confronted as illustrated by this trooper-gate scandal. Do tough people lawyer up and hide when they are made to be accountable for their actions? I think the Barracuda may meerly be a tuna. Can you say Chicken of the sea?
Also understand that this is the same Sarah Palin that claims she will lead the reform on energy policy. Being that Alaska is so dependent on oil revenues, will it come as a surprise when the theme of her earth shattering energy reform will be "drill baby drill?"
Before voters commit a severe brain fart by voting for this ticket of change that changes only their positions, that these Republicans have learned nothing from the past mistakes that have justifiably turned the Republican brand into a steaming mas of manure, needs to realize that these candidates are already abusing power that has yet to be granted them.
