Easy. Give a "signing-statement" executive that has NEVER submitted to oversight 700 billion dollars.
Congress is the purse strings? No more. Congress just gave a mafioso administration a credit card with no limit.
No need for Congress anymore.
McBush wants a war with Iran, Russia, Venezuela? He's got his cash. McBush wants to burgeon Blackwater into the King's private army? He's got the cash. McBush wants to "outsource" the works of government to more cronies? He's got the cash.
How the hell many times do these Democrats need to get pwned before they wake the hell up?
The most classic part of this is that the Republicans in the loop are going to vote AGAINST this turd of a bill. Probably including McSame. They'll send out a few expendable Republicans to make sure it passes, but it will go down in history as the Democratic/Bush bailout plan.
The dollar will become confetti. Obama, if we wins (and who's to say, if he swallows this poison pill), will have no money onhand to fund healthcare improvements, or alternative energy programs, or infrastructure, or freaking education.
Listening to Congressional Democrats presuming so much goodwill and camaraderie on Paulson's part made me ill. What part of Disaster Capitalism have these guys failed to grasp? Wall Street robber barons make money on the upswing AND the downswing. Then they'll be hired at a premium as "expert overseers" in the guise of "oversight" and blow all the cash AGAIN.
Meanwhile, once they've turned over the purse strings, and since they've shown how dutifully they submit to outrageous, criminal signing statements, Congress might as well slink home and stay there.
Let them know they'll be coming home to a torch-and-pitchfork party.
