But you are all missing the point. McBush does not care. He accomplished yesterday, what they set out to do. Change the narrative, yet again.

Bush and Co. were on it too. I do not think that Barney Frank should be requesting from this criminal of a president to try to have the house repugs cooperate with this situation.

They are all right now laughing behind the dems back, and patting themselves on the back, b/c they pull it off, as far as they think they did.

This whole charade, has been for Mcbush benefits, to make him look like he can accomplish something, and to take some of the thunder from our Barack.

The repugs do not care about what happens to our Country, they are responsible for this crisis and many others.

The Dems, like Barney Frank, should not get mad or upset at what transpired yesterday. Everyone saw it coming for what it was, including the MSM.

They should grow some backbone, and follow Barack's lead on this matter, in instead of posturing, and expect at this stage of the game, that the crook residing in the White House is going to even try to do anything about what is going on in this Country. How naive can they be?

The repugs are doing it again to them, and I don't know if Barney Franks is equipped to deal with the nuances of this situation. Based on his press conference last night, he already demonstrated that the Dems are on the defensive about this, when they were on the offensive to begin with.

Asking for cooperation from this president, to accomplish anything at this stage of the game, puts all of us at a disadvantage. This is exactly what they want to achieve.

Here we go again, letting the crooks drive the narrative again, after the Mcbush campaign latest stunt.

People the White House does not want Obama/Biden elected. They are going to fight this tooth and nail. Yesterday, we just saw to what length they will go to win this thing. But do not despair it is only going to get worse.

We cannot allow this Congress to slow down Barack's campaign momentum, b/c imho they are totally out of sync, as you could tell by Barney's presser.

When are these people going to realize, that they are not dealing with normal, honorable people, they are crooks, they have no morals, no scruples and they are going to do anything to win this election, to continue with the cover up, etc.

So what are we going to do to help Barack? B/c obviously the Dems still have not realized they are in the majority, and to be frank, what are they scare of? Standup and face the music, bunch of pussies, stop the blackmailing by this Administration and their enablers. Grow a pair, do it for your Country.

BTW, this has Rove written all over it. And another thing, I do not want to have to hear Tweedy saying that what the McBush campaign just pulled off, was brilliant, I just don't. It is sickening. They are playing with the future of Our Country.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

Yep. They did it again - suckered us.  I did a diary on how they did it, and what the next steps should be, earlier this morning. Your introductory paragraph pretty well sums up the first part.

Anyone who thinks this McCain bit was not planned and orchestrated must be blind, is what I think. And Bush's speech, and the timing of the Republican's pseudo agreement with the Democrats on the general outline of the package - that was all part of the set up.

    Makes me want to retch.

Thanks for keeping these things front and center.

It is just that we can talk about all of this until we are blue in the face. Facts are facts.

After reading this morning news feedback, I guess they did not quite pull it off, and the Dems seem to be in tune with BO campaign, but this is not over yet.

And of course, there is more coming from the derrailed express.

One thing is for sure, I trust Obama, lets follow his lead. Cool headed and steady. I like it.

I'd rather pick and eat dandelions than let these republican thugs pillage and destroy our country.  I'm ready to let them face the music.  The Dems should just have themselves a sit down on this.

I can't be the only voter in America who is tired of getting caught in the crossfire of GOP theatrics.  From those infamous "government shutdowns" of the Gingrich era, through that truly absurd impeachment trial, right down to yesterday's deus ex machina from St. John, the GOP has spent almost twenty years substituting morality plays for substance.

  •  I agree with Bush being involved otherwise (0+ / 0-)

why did it take McCain from 830AM to 230PM in the afternoon to get back to Obama.  McCain, Bush, and the Republicans set this all up.  McCain brings in his Campaign manager and asks for less regulation/Capitol Gains Tax.  Didn't McCain just say he was for more Regulation?

However, I disagree that this makes the Dems look bad and Barney Frank was correct in stating what he did in a Press Conference.  Dodd was right in saying what he was saying about a McCain Political move.

McCain and Obama had no reason to be there anyway, they aren't part of the committee.  Yes, they may need to vote, but they could have been called back to vote.  This is going to backfire on the Republicans and McCain big time.  But, the Dems better hadn't cave to the stipulations, period.
