Wow. Mr. Zakaria of Newsweek has just published an extremely damning article absolutely destroying Governor Palin and Senator McCain for making the selection of Governor Palin. (link below the fold)
Prior to McCain's phony Washington DC photo op a few days ago, the Palin Express was running right off the rails into oblivion...
Does this give the Obama/Biden campaign a "green light" of sorts to directly challenge her candidacy? (I'm hoping...YES!!!) Or will the Vice Presidential debate moderator challenge her directly on key issues? (My dream!!)
First there was the drip drip drip of conservative journalists calling for her resignation, with little fanfare from the MSM. Now, Mr. Zakaria, in Newsweek, has written the harshest MSM article to date on just how poor a candidate Sarah Palin is.
Here's a link to the article:

I completely understand the Obama rationale for treating her with kid gloves of sorts. They've deftly tried to paint her not as an inexperienced complete bafoon, maladroit, wrong on every issue, scary individual candidate, but as a protege of the Bush/Cheney/McCain mindset.
Slowly but surely, this week we've seen Grumpy Jack on CNN really lay into her, but there's been a slow and steady trickle of disdain building within the national press core.
The McCain fiasco in DC this week effectively took away any of the building calls for her resignation by conservatives of all people.
Its my primal fear that under the guise of the economic stalemate for the economic emergency bill, the McCain campaign will try to delay the VP debate, or cancel it outright. What choice do they have really? She's clearly not ready for prime time, slow time, no time, any time.
What Mr. Zakaria has done is put his excellent reputation, not so much on the line, but his reputation out there to let people know what a disaster Sarah Palin is as a selection. Further, he was given the permission for this article to be printed in a nationally respected news organization like Newsweek...
Will this slow, but steady drumbeat build to the debate this week?
Will the VP debate moderator bring this up?
Will my head explode if I hear Governor Palin give another run on, memorized speech?
Will the media continue the calls for Governor Palin to resign?
How many more diversions does the McCain campaign have up its sleeve to protect Governor Palin?
How much longer will the Obama campaign stay away from challenging her credentials directly???
