Woke up this morning and found this diary by a gnostic. The title said it all:
Salon: No Palin trade missions with Russia on record
And it went on like this:
First the context from the now-infamous Couric interview:
COURIC: Have you ever been involved with any negotiations, for example, with the Russians?
PALIN: We have trade missions back and forth. We -- we do -- it's very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia as Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where -- where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is -- from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there. They are right next to -- to our state.
You can guess what comes next. But other than the diary itself and the source it quotes, I haven't heard or read anything from the traditional media calling out this lie by Palin. Maybe I'm expecting too much from them. I mean, why start expecting them to do their jobs now, right?
All I can do is point you guys to a gnostic's diaryand urge you to recommend it. It's been pushed down the list and disappeared from the front page already. But you mustn't miss it. Everyone should read it because it's just too important.
It's Sunday morning. Let's stop patting ourselves on the back already about whose mind we changed or how my uncle's cousin's brother's neighbor changed his mind about Obama. The photos from the campaign trail are nice, but they do nothing to hurt the opposition (McPalin). The election is still 40 days away and there are many, many more people who are ill-informed about the dangerous candidacy of McPalin. So, let's give the traditional media a hand and help spread this news!
I'd paste more from a gnostic's diary, but people should go there and read it for themselves.
