Bill Clinton continued his sad decline into political irrelevance today on Meet the Press.
The impeached two-term Democrat still can't get over the fact that Barack Obama defeated
him and his wife.
Mr. Clinton's bitterness has grown tired. His hogging of the media spotlight for himself in the middle of a campaign is unforgiveable. When will the Democratic Party elders come out and call this asshole out? I'm sure we only have to wait until Obama wins the Presidency to hear what the Obama campaign REALLY thinks of him. I know that on this site, he will be the subject of much commentary.
But this past week - as much media attention has been heaped on Clinton's Global Initiative - Clinton has, in some ways, reverted back to form: offering more tepid support for the Democratic ticket and showing a strong willingness to compliment McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin.

Today on Meet The Press he continued his pettiness. I want President Obama to call on Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush before he calls on Bill Clinton. In fact, send W. to Africa (the only place on earth he is liked) to help with AIDS. I want Bill Clinton and his grotesque red nose and outsized ego to come begging President Obama for something to do.
In the meantime, use Senator Clinton as much as possible. She seems like a genuine team player up to this point. But don't let her husband any where near this campaign, he helped blow it for her, and I don't want him doing the same for us.
