a couple of days ago, fivethirtyeight.com showed a major breakthrough in the senate races: the Mississippi Musgrove vs. Wicker race moved from the Safe GOP to the Likely GOP category. Suddenly there were 10 seats in play. Yes TEN. You know what that means, right? 60 votes and NO JOE.
Well I just got my daily john kerry campaign spam, and he tells ms that he has just moved One. Million. Dollars. (place pinky to corner of mouth) from his own campaign to the DSCC.
YOWZA!
That's some serious change.
Wonder where they'll spend it.
Looking at 538's list, the funny thing is, there are campaigns that look out of reach that just shouldn't be. I mean shouldn't be, because despite the political context of the states involved, the candidates offer such a great choice to those voters. Rice. Kleeb. Martin.
So, where would you send Kerry's Million if you were in charge of the purse strings?
[update, sorta] tried to find a link, but the news isn't even showing up at johnkerry.com yet ... the email says he's giving those of us on his email list the inside scoop. (whatever). he included an actblue "pushforchange" link but it doesn't seem to work for me.
[update, part deux] From the comments, Lisa Lockwood tells us
DSCC will triple any donation between now and midnight tonight.
She included a donation link. This should be front-paged!
