discussed. It's because the politics-as-usual crowd thinks you won't vote, and the dirty secret is, up until now, they've been absolutely right.

So get to the caucuses; drive your friends; embarrass your friends into participating. You can change the world, but you need to not be a spectator!

  •  I wouldn't be so quick to say that (0+ / 0-)

I remember when i was first old enough to vote i was
enthralled with the things Reagan said

And Yes ,I voted for Reagan, Little did i know what a mistake i had made then.

It wasn't till i was a much older adult did i understand what i did.

Now, I don't think that all youth make these types of blind decisions.....some get lucky guesses and slide on through virtually unnoticed..

But it is my opinion that if we have a high volume of youth voting we will end up with a ton of blind decisions leading to another Reagan,Bush,Clinton,Bush,? scenario.

With that all said.....I think the voting age should be raised to ensure that our voters have lived a little as an adult. Say to the age of 25; Before making these types of decisions for the rest of the world.

  •  TBTH are you in Nevada? (0+ / 0-)

This weekend, Democrats Work is helping Rep. Morgan Carroll and ACORN get some fliers on the doors in Aurora, CO about the free "Homeownership and Foreclosure Prevention Fair" that is coming up near the end of the month.

My boots are needed in Denver this weekend, so that is where my feet will be.

I'm sorry but this is not the type of primary diary that we do on Daily Kos. You didn't try to get anybody pissed-off, you didn't make assertions of how your candidate is the only one who can save the country, and you forgot to dismiss opposing candidates as losers, corporate whores, or scumbags. Instead you attempted to inspire and provide information about getting involved. That type of abuse will not be tolerated. <snark>
